On a warm August evening, as the sun slowly fades over the sea, the Dzintari Concert Hall will fill with music, light, and emotion - welcoming the return of the Jūrmala Blues Festival.
Now becoming a cherished summer tradition, this international festival brings together the soul of blues, the warmth of jazz, and the energy of funk and rock’n’roll - creating a celebration that resonates far beyond the stage.
For one unforgettable night, Jūrmala becomes a meeting point for artists and audiences from around the world. Renowned international performers will share the spotlight with Latvia’s brightest musical talents, blending cultures, sounds, and stories into one powerful experience.
At the heart of the evening, the legendary Latvian Blues Band will join forces with Latvia’s own “Elvis Presley,” Ivars Pētersons, and the magnetic U.S. blues artist Gregory Boyd. Together, with a rich and vibrant brass section, they will take the audience on a journey through the very roots of blues - from the streets of Chicago to the spirit of New Orleans.
This year’s theme, “Road to Memphis,” invites you to feel the essence of blues in its purest form - its strength, its tenderness, its depth. Every note carries emotion, every performance tells a story.
The evening unfolds in two parts. In the first, the captivating Aija Andrejeva, with her unmistakable voice, will take the stage alongside the bold and dynamic Very Cool People. Their program, Woodstock Renaissance, revives the spirit of a legendary era, bringing freedom, rhythm, and joy to life.
A night of fiery voices, deep rhythms, and moments that linger long after the music fades.
