Štrausam 200 - Vīnes mūzikas zelta vakars

A Tribute to Johann Strauss’ 200th Anniversary – Concert “A Golden Evening of Viennese Music”

On July 11 at 19:00, Dzintari Concert Hall will host one of the most splendid concerts of this summer – the concert program dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the outstanding Austrian composer Johann Strauss (son), titled “Strauss 200 – A Golden Evening of Viennese Music.”

The concert will feature distinguished soloists, dancers, and a symphony orchestra, inviting both classical music enthusiasts and anyone wishing to enjoy a special cultural event in Jūrmala.

In the autumn of 2025, two hundred years will have passed since the birth of the great Austrian composer Johann Strauss II, who is rightly known as the “King of Waltz.” In honor of this anniversary, the audience at Dzintari Concert Hall on the evening of July 11 will be invited to experience the elegance and festive atmosphere of Viennese classical music.

The program will include works from Johann Strauss’ “golden repertoire” – the most famous waltzes, polkas, and operetta fragments that for more than two centuries have embodied lightness, joy of life, and the refined spirit of European culture. The evening is conceived as a musical journey to 19th-century Vienna, where music, dance, and elegance create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Guests will be welcomed with a red carpet, the first 200 visitors will receive a glass of sparkling refreshment, and a special photo corner will allow everyone to capture the festive mood of the evening. For this occasion, Dzintari Concert Hall will transform into an environment worthy of the Vienna Opera Ball, where classical music meets the lightness of a summer evening.

As the organizers promise, the concert “Strauss 200 – A Golden Evening of Viennese Music” will become one of the most significant events in Latvia dedicated to Johann Strauss’ anniversary, offering audiences the opportunity to experience music that unites generations and continues to resonate around the world today.
