Just before the arrival of summer, the Dzintari Concert Hall will host a special concert evening, offering a unique opportunity to experience Shipsea’s music in a whole new light. As the multifaceted soloartist’s magical vocal timbre entwines with the sound of chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, Shipsea’s melodies – familiar and beloved – will be revealed in a symphonic extravagance of unprecedented grandeur. Shipsea’s music has a deeply personal and truthful quality to it – it has a unique ability to evoke emotions and lift the spirits with seemingly simple melodies and lyrics that strike a chord deep in the heart, washing away the worries of everyday life. Tavi viļņi, Pie upes, Siltā gaismā, Dunka and Lielās cerības are just some of his songs that have left a touching mark upon people over the years, and in this evening’s special atmosphere they will blossom in orchestral full-scale – in a yet more colourful and evocative, more poignant and saturated, more intimate and lasting form.
