Lilac concert - I BLOOM

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Institute of Horticulture, we invite you to a concert programme I Bloom!

In the first part of the concert, gems of opera music and songs from sunny Naples will be performed by the brilliant soprano Jolanta Strikaite and three tenors - Raimonds Bramanis, Dainis Kalnačs, and Juris Vizbulis.

In the second part, Daumants Kalniņš and Aija Vītoliņa will lead the audience on a musical journey from New York to Paris.

Together with the Jelgava Big Band and conductor Raitis Ašmanis, the concert will also feature a special guest - actor Gundars Āboliņš from the New Riga Theatre.

The event will be hosted by Liene Jakovļeva.

On this evening, we invite you to enjoy not only outstanding music but also the fragrance, colours, and atmosphere of lilacs in spring.

There will be opportunities to purchase wine, champagne, and light refreshments.

Due to unpredictable weather conditions, we recommend bringing a blanket as well as mosquito repellent.

Tickets to the concert grant free access to the Lilac Garden throughout the entire day.
