TRIO SUNSCAPE (Francija). II Hammond ērģeļu festivāls

For the closing concert of the 2nd HAMMOND Organ Festival on Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m., we invite you to enjoy “galactic jazz” performed by the French trio “SUNSCAPE”.

“Sunscape” is a jazz trio playing vintage keyboard instruments (Hammond, Rhodes, Moog, and piano), performing original music described as “galactic jazz.” Their debut album was released in October 2023 and received highly positive press reviews, with the trio’s music being called “a revelation” (Jazz Magazine), “album of the week” (FIP), and more.

Through their music, “Sunscape” takes us to a land of radiant sunlight, blending the acoustic, electric, and synthetic tones of keyboard instruments. Longtime friends Emmanuel Beer and Jules Le Risbé created the trio based on the fusion of piano and Hammond organ sounds. Soon joined by drummer Thomas Doméné, the two keyboardists began creating original music filled with delicious old-school sounds. Recently, “Sunscape” won the Jazz70 competition in Nimes, France, and OcciJazz (the Occitanie network) selected the ensemble for its artist residency program for 2024–2025.
